The 1ST Emogas’ International Natural Gas-Based Industry Conference and Exhibition (EINGICE) 2024 is a pioneering initiative of exceptional quality that will be bringing together industry leaders in the energy, oil and gas sector including national leaders, top government officials, president(s) and CEOs of large energy companies, international delegates, think tanks, scholars, and other actors, who possesses the requisite knowledge, capacity, and experience to proffer innovative solutions to natural gas-based industry challenges.
By natural gas-based industry challenges, we mean natural gas, natural gas-based products and natural gas applications including: LNG; CNG; LPG (e.g. domestic, industrial, and transport fuels); gas & power (e.g. electricity); fischer-tropsch liquids (e.g. wax, naphtha/petrochemicals, liquid transportation fuels); condensates and natural gas liquids; helium and other noble gases; hydrogen (e.g. ammonia, fertilizer, refinery processes, fuel cells, power generation); sulfur; space heating; underground gas storage; ethane (e.g. gas to olefins (GTO)); and methanol (e.g. dimethyl ether, GTO, other chemical products). The annual event will also be addressing the broader energy landscape that now includes the global interest in combating climate change through utilization of cleaner energy resources in which natural gas is playing an important role as a relatively cleaner fossil fuel, and hence fits perfectly well into the energy transition. The event will explore the feasibility, strategies, advantages and disadvantages of African countries including Nigeria transitioning to alternative energy resources and fuels like renewables, hydrogen and ammonia, and other green gases which have gained attention in the ongoing global decarbonization efforts.
Since Nigeria’s huge natural gas is under-produced and under-utilised, natural gas-based industrialisation in the country has been relatively slow. The event will be discussing strategies and initiatives to rapidly increase the growth of gas-based industries which is vital and which also aligns with Nigeria’s Decade of Gas policy that would enable the country to rapidly develop and industrialize upon successful implementation.
EINGICE2024 will be examining the current state of Implementation and realization of the ambitious decade-long gas plan which would require deep understanding of global gas and LNG market trends, pricing mechanisms, supply-demand dynamics, and strong local and international collaboration of all stakeholders. Achieving these goals and objectives will enable industry stakeholders to make informed decisions and develop effective business strategies for the good and economic growth of the country. The event will review the hindrances and how to speed up the implementation towards realisation that would be characterized by massive natural gas-based industrialization, economic growth and prosperity, and significant reduction and/or elimination of unemployment, and energy poverty. The event will look at alternative funding and financing sources to drive this growth without too much reliance and/or the overbearing influence of external factors and governments. It will explore the future of natural gas through technology, research and development, with the objective to foster collaboration and innovation, with attendees gaining deep insights into emerging technologies and potential breakthroughs that could shape the industry and remedy Nigeria’s shrinking global market share in LNG business, and seek innovative ways to triple this market share in the face of aggressive competitors from Quatar, Australia, and now United States of America (that use to buy LNG from Nigeria).
We expect exhibition stands at EINGICE2024 to be booked by top oil and gas companies with operating assets across the entire natural gas value chain; as well as leading oil and gas marginal field producers and service companies. The event will be held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel at the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja, Nigeria and will feature several sessions including keynote, current debates, industry insights, natural gas-based project financing and the technical & innovation fora. There will also be special sessions featuring women and the young (youth) leadership programme. BE THERE!
